Susanna CHIU

Director, Li & Fung Development China (CN), and Fung Group Chief Representative of Eastern China.
Susanna Chiu is currently the Director & Group Chief Representative Eastern China of Li & Fung Development (China) Limited. Susanna graduated from The University of Sheffield in England with Class 1 Honors in Economic and holds an Executive MBA degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professionally, Susanna is a qualified Chartered Accountant from England, a China CPA, a qualified CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), and a member of the HK Institute of Directors. Susanna is the Past President of the HK Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) who is the first woman to attain this leadership position in the 40 years of history of the Institute. She is also the Founding President of the Institute of Accountants Exchange. Apart from the profession, Susanna has been contributing continuously in community services and voluntary sectors for many years. She was awarded one of the ten nationwide “Chinese Women of Achievement” award in the UK in 1991 and has been appointed by HK Government to sit on many voluntary committees including the Education University of Hong Kong, the Women’s Commission, and formerly the Equal Opportunity Commission. Due to Susanna’s contribution to the Hong Kong community, she was awarded the Medal of Honor (MH) by HKSAR in 2013 for her outstanding achievements especially in the accounting profession. Susanna was also awarded the “Outstanding Women Professional” by the HK Women Professionals and Entrepreneurs Association in 2014 as a result of her achievements. In 2017, she was awarded the Justice of Peace (JP) for her contribution to the HKSAR and Outstanding Businesswomen Leader Award by Hong Kong Commercial Daily. In China, Susanna is appointed by the China Government int he China People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Shanghai and formerly in the Shaanxi Province CPPCC. She is the President of the Shanghai Minhang HK-Macau Association (上海闵行港澳沙龙), and Deputy President of the Shanghai – Hong Kong Coalition of Professionals (沪港專业人士联会).
